All the discourse surrounding the Fable 4/reboot trailer doesn't bother me because I've been a fan since Fable 2. Anyone in the fandom from those years remembers people constantly bashing 2 for not being as good as 1, then 3 for not being good as 2, then The Journey for a gameplay shift that's nothing similar to 3, and Legends for not continuing The Journey's story and having another gameplay shift.

Every Fable fan wears nostalgia goggles, some just wear them tighter than most, hence the endless bashing of whatever game comes out most recently.
